Repair, warranty & store policies.

This page summarizes the policies Compupod currently prints or presents with qualifying repairs and store transactions. Your signed service authorization, receipt, and transaction-specific disclosures remain the controlling record.

Ask before you approve.

If a policy is important to your decision, ask the team to explain how it applies to your specific device, repair, purchase, or trade-in before the transaction moves forward.

Repair warranty

Compupod provides a limited 90-day warranty on the parts and labor associated with the repair performed. The warranty applies to the Compupod repair documented on the customer’s receipt and requires the applicable in-store disclaimer to be signed.

What is not covered

  • Accidental, liquid, water, or customer-caused damage.
  • Third-party repairs, additional work not performed by Compupod, or tampering with the repair.
  • New damage or a separate failure unrelated to the documented repair.

Device condition, water resistance & data

A damaged or repaired device may no longer retain its original water resistance. Keep repaired devices away from water and liquids. Customers should back up important data before service whenever the device permits it. Repair, testing, software recovery, or a device’s pre-existing condition may involve a risk of restore mode, responsiveness changes, or data loss.

Some devices may display manufacturer messages after certain component replacements. The team can explain known model-specific behavior before service where applicable.

Pre-existing damage

Devices submitted with prior, related, or hidden damage may worsen or fail during standard disassembly, inspection, testing, or handling. Compupod’s service authorization describes how this risk applies to a particular device.

Store-purchased devices

Compupod provides a one-year non-accidental warranty on cellphones, tablets, and computers purchased from the store. The security hologram must remain intact and unaltered, and the merchandise must remain in the required condition for a warranty claim.

Cellphones, tablets, and computers purchased from Compupod have a 14-day exchange-only window. The current store policy states that qualifying exchanges are subject to a $50 restocking fee and require the device to be returned in the same condition, with complete original packaging.

Airtime, cellphone activations, and long-distance recharges are non-refundable.

Estimates, parts & approval

Website descriptions and initial conversations are informational. Final recommendations and estimates may depend on inspection, exact model, parts availability, device condition, and the work the customer authorizes. Compupod will identify the proposed path before approved work proceeds.

Trade-ins

A trade-in evaluation is not a guaranteed offer. Eligibility and value depend on the exact device, ownership or authorization, condition, functionality, current demand, and the transaction terms presented at evaluation. The receipt or trade-in disclosure provided for the transaction contains the applicable final terms.

Unclaimed devices and goods

Compupod’s current receipt policy states that the company is not responsible for devices or goods left unclaimed for more than 90 days. Contact the store promptly if pickup timing becomes a problem.

Questions or a warranty concern

Bring the device, the original receipt, and a clear description of the concern to the Mission Street store. The team will compare the issue with the documented repair or purchase and explain the applicable next step.
